Kia Optima will make a new appearance in December

KOREA: The D-class sedan changes design, is more aggressive and uses full LED lighting.

The Korean automaker created a separate website for the next-generation Kia Optima. The sedan will launch next month in South Korea, where this product is called K5.

The website posted details on Optima’s design, saying that the front end “made a strong impression at first sight”. For example, the bonnet has prominent ridges (which are thought to be rare in sedans of this segment), the headlights as a whole with the 3D design grille.

Three-shock-shock front sinewy with large wind cavities. LED headlights and daytime lights. At the rear, Optima has a fastback style, large chrome bands for the glass door border, full LED taillights and a V-shape present on the rear of the car. Rearview mirror with integrated LED turn signals and aluminum alloy wheels with 5 double spoke.

The dashboard has been completely redesigned with two screens linked together. Compared to the current generation, the new model has less details on the dashboard, helping to create more space for small items such as smartphones or wallets.

The piano key control buttons seem to be reserved for the air-conditioning system, while selecting numbers with the knob. Also are carbon fiber accents.

The new generation Kia Optima is expected to launch in Korea in December. The US market version may not arrive until 2020. Optima’s rivals are the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord and Nissan Teana.
