Huawei’s True Wireless headphones will go on sale in December

FreeBuds 3, Huawei’s third-generation True Wireless headset with the same design as Apple’s Airpods, will return to Vietnam next month.

FreeBuds 3 was launched at IFA 2019 in Germany in September. The product can be used with phones of many different brands, not Huawei’s own. In terms of design, the product resembles Apple’s AirPods from layout, signal light to lid.

FreeBuds 3 carrying case and battery is round instead of square like AirPods. It provides an additional 20 hours of use for the headset, which is the equivalent of Apple’s charging box. Another difference, the charging port on FreeBuds 3 is USB-C, not Lightning.

Huawei also has a separate connection chip called A1 with the same feature as the H1 chip that Apple uses on AirPods, to help wireless headphones connect quickly to the phone and be more stable. Each ear can play music independently.

Huawei’s earphones come in two versions: Black and White, to differentiate it from Apple products. Highlights of the product compared to the AirPods is Noise Cancellation feature and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity capable of low power consumption. According to Huawei, their product is the world’s first headset to use this wireless connection standard.

The FreeBuds tail straightens the plumbing style with metal trim at the bottom. The white version is no different from AirPods. The feeling of wearing fits well and firmly.
